This Privacy Policy explains how Moodak (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects,
uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
By using Moodak, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
1. What Moodak Does
Moodak is a mental-wellbeing companion app that helps you:
- Track your mood over time
- Recognize emotions using your device camera and on-device AI models
- Receive personalized recommendations and exercises
- Access AI one-on-one sessions
- View mood analytics and trends
- Optionally subscribe to premium features via in-app purchases
Moodak is not a medical device and does not provide medical or psychiatric
diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified professional for medical or mental-health advice.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use the App.
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account information
- Name, email address, password or authentication tokens (depending on your sign-up method)
- Stored in our backend and/or secure storage to allow login and account management
Profile & personal information
- Optional profile details such as date of birth and other personal preferences
- Used to personalize your experience (e.g., greetings, analytics segments)
Mood entries & notes
- Mood selections (emojis, labels such as “happy”, “sad”, etc.)
- Optional notes/comments you add about how you feel
- Used to build your mood history, analytics, and recommendations
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device and app usage data
- Device type, operating system version, app version
- Basic usage logs (which screens are visited, feature usage)
- Used to improve stability, performance, and understand how features are used
Camera data (for emotion recognition)
- The App uses your camera to analyze facial expressions in real time through on-device machine-learning models.
- Camera frames are processed on your device for emotion detection.
- We do not store your raw camera images on our servers.
- We may store the recognized emotion label (e.g., “happy”, “stressed”) and a timestamp as part of your mood history.
2.3 Payment & Subscription Information
In-app purchases and subscriptions
- We use RevenueCat and the Apple App Store billing system to manage subscriptions and purchases.
- We may receive:
- A non-sensitive identifier for your subscription
- Product IDs, purchase status (active, canceled, expired), and subscription periods
- Region/country associated with your App Store account (from Apple)
- We do not store or have access to your full payment card details. Payments are processed by Apple.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the App
- Authenticate you and keep you logged in
- Save and display your mood history, AI sessions context, and recommendations
- Process subscriptions and restore purchases
- Personalize your experience
- Tailor exercises, recommendations, and AI sessions to your mood and history

- Fix bugs and improve user experience
